The Interact Club is holding its annual Food Drive from mid-October to the 15th of November. Participating homerooms are supplied with collection boxes and all contributions will be donated to the Arlington Food Pantry.
Each student is encouraged to help the community and donate items such as: canned food, dried pastas, toiletries, and paper products, and foods that do not require refrigeration.
Club leader, Melissa Rawson says, “The Food Drive helps people who are less fortunate than we are, and it is great to serve the community through charity.”
The homeroom with the most donated items, that have reached a minimum of fifty donations, will be rewarded with free Starbuck’s vouchers for each student in the homeroom.
Last year, Interact collected around five hundred donations from the AHS community; Mr.Byrne’s homeroom donated approximately two hundred thirty items.
